The municipality of Biskupice is in Zlín District. It lies about four kilometres southwest of the spa town of Luhačovice. The first written mention of the municipality dates to 1131.

The primary school and nursery school are housed in a building whose foundations were laid in 1894. A Baroque statue of St John of Nepomuk, dating from 1796, stands opposite the school. The village also has a chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
